A couple of weeks ago, I was making preparations to attend a conference and i wanted the journey to be as smooth and easy as possible. It was going to be for a few days so no need for a heavy packing.
While i was on my way from work one day, I came across a small bag pack that also had wheels and a handle to move it about (something like a mini luggage and a bag pack). It was exactly what I wanted for a stress free journey but I had already made quite a lot of expenses that period that I didn’t want to commit to buying another bag immediately. I took a picture of it as I saw someone going with the bag, hopefully i might find something similar online later.
It was just a desire I had, nothing particularly serious (at least so i thought). Few weeks later, I attended the conference and guess what, part of the souvenir I received was the exact bag pack with wheel I was looking for. It was amazing, it was bigger and fancier, I absolutely loved it.
This just reflected to me how God actually cares about our desires too. Sometimes we think He doesn’t hear, doesn’t care or can’t be bothered about such minor matters. But if someone knows you well enough to know the number of hair on your head, then for sure He cares about even the smallest things about you.
Sometimes all you need time do is just ask, be open with Him, be vulnerable and be sincere. There are times you know in yourself that your desires are not aligned with the will of God for you, don’t go about pushing for it, you’ll land yourself in trouble most of the time.
But this is just to remind you that He cares, He listens, even the things you haven’t voiced out that you desire, He knows. But it is important we trust His wisdom and process in doing things in our lives. If you have asked and believed that He heard you, sometimes all you need to do is wait and watch it happen. Some other times the step of faith you need to take might be tangible actions, but your relationship and sensitivity to Him will help you know this.
Don’t whine about it, just ask, don’t complain, just ask, don’t get offended, just ask.
Ask because He did say to us that we should ask and it shall be given unto us.
